(Fall of the) Bastille

Fangirl. Definition loosely describes me. But thanks to my fangirling (which I strongly believe should be a viable career choice) and to Caggie Dunlop, I have stumbled across the brilliance that is Bastille.

The first track I heard was Icarus and I instantly fell in love with it. The vocals are wondrous, especially if you're into bands that are a little bit different and a little bit indie. When we're in an age that sometimes feels like it is overwhelmed with American pop acts and boisterous boy bands, unearthing a band like Bastille becomes such a perfect little find. I'm definitely going to be on the look out for more from them in the future.

Now who said fangirling was freaky? Thanks to Caggie's interview for TeenBook, I have a new artist on repeat to get me through my gruelling uni assignments and even more music to add to my all-time squidgy ears playlist. All in all, I call that a success.
