£100 Asos Challenge

So I saw this on a blog that I follow and since I browse ASOS almost every week as it is, figured I would have a go at this challenge too. It's a competition by Discount Coder (link for this challenge is here: http://www.discountcoder.com/blog/win-big-with-our-100-asos-blogger-challenge/ ) and all I gather you have to do is put together an outfit that totals less than £100. So here goes nothing..

Shirt - £20 | Skirt - £10 | Shoes - £30
Clutch - £18 | Comb - £6 | Lippy - £5.49

In total, my outfit came to £94.49 so a little under budget (that's an extra fiver for drinks!) and here is why I chose each of the items:

I started off with the shoes because I'm really into platforms at the moment and I never go for toe-showing shoes (mostly due to an event which involved my younger brother, my 9 year old self and a lack of spatial awareness. It resulted in a broken toe which has never fully straightened which in short means no peep-toes for me.)

The shirt I like because it looks fresh and light so it's perfect for the summer (though having some summery weather would help!) As it has all the studded detail on the collar, complete with the chains, it means you don't have to worry about adding too much more jewellery to the outfit which for me is a godsend. I'm the most indecisive person I've ever met.

The skirt is admittedly pretty plain but paired with the heels is bound to extenuate the length of your legs as the black on black gives an effect of long, lithe continuation. The length of the skirt is also particularly flattering as it flashes enough flesh without being so short you're paranoid you're exposing your posterior.

The bag is again pretty standard but the colour will stand out against the rest of the outfit and paired with matching nails and lips will finish the outfit off just fine. Finally, fixing the studded hair comb in some form of relaxed up do will ensure that everything comes together in one edgy outfit.

So there we have it! Anyone else thinking of entering the challenge?

P.S. Apologies if the toe story creeped you out.
