Plenty of Parentheses
I, like many people, am not a massive fan of feet. They're weird looking for starters, not to mention the fact that I have one wonky toe from when I broke it aged 8 and that my feet are so flat I could pass for a platypus. I kid you not. So when I bought some lovely heeled wedge sandals last year, I braced my foot fear and showed the toes. Unsurprising, I hated every minute. Cue today's dilemma. I'm planning on wearing this playsuit to an event next week and had planned to pair the aforementioned wedges with it. But the mere thought of flashing foot flesh is enough to make my toes curl. So I took to the internet's new fave femme fetale for advice. If J Law does it, then it's cool to copy right?

As the pictures demonstrate, I am of course talking about pairing socks with shoes. Peep toe wedges to be exact. I know, I know, it screams fashion faux pas. But just at how effortlessly J Law pulls it off. It's quirky without being too cutesy: my MO exactly. So I ran down to Primark, picked myself up a pair of white frills (and naturally took a detour to Superdrug for some white nail varnish to match).

(If I never blog again, it's because the fashion gods have struck me down with lightning. You know, for rocking socks when I shouldn't be. It was nice while it lasted...)

I have so much to blog about and so little time to do it. Sad face.

We've just moved house and I've just come home from uni so life is pretty hectic but making things worse is a lack of internet! So I've been drafting lots of blog posts and trying my hardest to find time and ways to post them. So whilst I sort out the rest of my new room, thought I'd leave you with a little post I wrote a week or so ago.

I never thought I'd be the girl who couldn't say no to shoes. But when New Look are offering a cheeky 50% off, how can anyone say no? I'm only just starting to actually enjoy wearing heels (I'm a late starter) and I've been stalking pairs of this style for weeks. I hate, hate, hate showing my toes off and I have been struggling to find a pair of wedges that didn't have an open-toe design.
And just my luck, when I was only meant to popping into town to buy my Secret Santa present I ended up finding these little beauties just begging to be bought.
Now I know I'm a student but somehow spending £13.99 on a pair of shoes as nice as this is borderline acceptable, right? Although karma did come back to bite me on the bum because I'm not actually going to be able to wear my new best friends out until 2013 when I'm back at uni.
I made up for it by wearing them around my room though. I feel for the poor boy who lives underneath me. Sorry man.
I can already tell they're going to be absolute killers on a night out (what heels aren't?) but I'm determined to make them worth it. I have a few beige and cream coloured tops which would match these perfectly and I'll probably be pairing them with some of my trusty LBDs more often than not.
A purrrrfect little splurge just in time for Christmas!
