This year it really has been a case of the January blues (and don't even get me started on university stress!)

 

I've been after a new purse for about six or seven months now to no avail. I really wanted to find one that wasn't black or brown so I popped into TK Maxx to see what they had on offer. I foolishly looked at design first and prices second, and fell in love with a beautiful blue number by Michael Kors. The price wasn't so beautiful though - £79 is just a little out my price range! But tucked away behind the majesty of Michael Kors was this little beauty who, at £12, was a bit more student friendly.  The purse is by Graffiti, established in 2007 and it's the perfect size for me. It's great as well because it matches a fair amount of my wardrobe. It'll pair up perfectly with my denim shorts and my denim shirts!  I'm also loving blue nail varnish at the minute - blue isn't quite as gothic as black but when worn with lighter denim such as my acid wash jeans from New Look, still showcases a bit of edgy grunge. Nails Inc.'s Motcomb Street is my current favourite.

Well I say spoiling.. what I bought my brother as an early Christmas present didn't exactly push the boat out at £12 but it's the thought that counts, right? Plus this is by no means all I'm planning to get him, I just saw this the other day and was compelled to buy it.

 

There's always a certain satisfaction with getting Christmas presents sorted early and I think this happens for a couple of reasons. Number one, everything you want is usually still in stock - always helpful. Secondly, it means you're aware of how much money you have left to blow spend wisely at the end of term Christmas night out at the union (if you're me, anyway.)

 

I bought this t-shirt from TK Maxx but the actual brand is Blood Bank who I haven't actually ever heard of but my brother's going through a printed white tee phase and since more than half have scantily clad women on the front, I wanted to ensure my brother stays as classy as it's possible for a teenage boy to be.

 

 

I genuinely really like this top too (I have a penchant for boys tees) so if my brother decides that he doesn't like it, I will be more than happy to take it off his hands..

 

 

Is anyone else a little bit keen for Christmas already? I heard (or rather Facebook informed me) that the Coca-Cola advert was on telly for the first time so technically I'm allowed to start thinking about Christmas already, right?

 

I don't know about any of you but I am both messy and a hoarder: a recipe for disaster! So when I saw this beautiful storage box when I accompanied my dad on his annual TK Maxx haul, I had to buy it!

I haven't decided what I'm going to put in it yet but I'm currently considering using as a place to store all my writing and inpso ideas. It's too nice to put anything that could potentially ruin it and since paper is flat, I reckon it will take a while to fill it meaning all my notes and drabbles and doodles will be in one place.

The main reason I bought this though was because of the tilt to three of my favourite places. I have yet to go to Paris or New York but they are both on my bucket list, and since one of my closest friends is currently living out in Paris, I'm definitely going to try and maximise on this opportunity!

Anyone else a bit of a hoarder? I keep everything from train tickets to clothes tags!
